This paper introduces the harm of soft soil and expansive soil layer in slope foundation pit,and unloads the slope of foundation pit by measuring and monitoring in the construction process to eliminate potential safety hazards.Through the practice of foundation pit construction in Chengdu Metro Line 18 project,it is proved that adopting reasonable excavation scheme and countermeasures in soft soil and expansive soil stratum can reduce the harm of foundation pit slope and ensure the safety of foundation pit,which has certain practical guidance.
