Based on CASS software,this paper expounds in detail the methods and principles of section method,square grid method,contour method and triangulation method(DTM)for calculating earthwork volume,as well as the problems existing in earthwork calculation of each method,summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of each method,and summarizes and compares the application scenarios,applicable conditions and accuracy of the four methods,providing a reference for users of engineering earthwork volume calculation.
