Application of integrated geophysical exploration techniques in urban geological surveys
Urban geological surveys are a crucial prerequisite for urban planning and engineering construction. As an essential part of urban planning, construction, and management, the core of urban geological surveys is to deeply understand the basic conditions of geology, resources, and the environment. This understanding enables a scientific assessment of the resource support capacity and environmental carrying capacity for urban development, while also identifies adverse geological and environmental factors that may hinder urban progress. In the process of urban geological surveys, physical exploration methods include high-density electrical methods, seismic wave methods, transient electromagnetic methods, and ground-penetrating radar methods, among others.Optimizing geological survey methods can improve the efficiency and accuracy of the surveys. This article introduces commonly used geophysical exploration techniques and, taking a specific area as an example, analyzes its geological environment. It compares different geophysical techniques and discusses the application of integrated geophysical exploration techniques in urban geological surveys.
