The paper explores the development path of water transport in Lingnan water village based on the goal of "new technology application+future life demand",and takes Sanlongwan area of Foshan as an example to carry out practical research. The results show that the redevelopment of inland water transportation focuses on the multi-functional development of water transportation,the collaborative development between freight and passenger transportation,and the efficient integration of land and water transportation. Through water transportation,regional development is driven,and the comprehensive improvement of space and industry in water township areas is realized.
