This paper analyzes the background conditions that shaped the city of Lhasa by introducing its urban contextual,combs the whole process of its urban development to get the context of the whole urban change,and then focuses on the typical region——Jokhang Temple district.Through the investigation of the present situation of the block space,the paper obtains the three major problems about the scale,the greening and the culture,probes into the reasons behind them,and finally puts forward the relevant strategies.
