This paper thoroughly investigates the practical operational process of GIS surveying and mapping technology and its extensive application in land management.Initially,the paper introduces the core operational processes of GIS surveying and mapping technology,including data collection,data processing,and map creation and visualization,and elaborates on the methods and steps of GIS technology in handling and displaying geospatial data.Subsequently,the paper focuses on analyzing the application of GIS surveying and mapping technology in the field of land management,encompassing key areas such as land planning and analysis,resource management,environmental monitoring and ecological assessment,as well as urban and rural planning.It demonstrates the significant role of GIS technology in enhancing the efficiency of land resource management,promoting sustainable development,and supporting environmental protection.
