Beginning with the concept of open block design,this article aims to update and renovate the Red Board Community in Chengdu by transitioning it from a closed,single-function area to an open and multifaceted community. It proposes the renovation concept characterized by openness,convenience and diversity,and enhances the vitality of community space and the quality of life and happiness of residents through measures such as optimizing street networks,building slow traffic systems and applying cultural catalysts.
