This paper studies the application measures of green highway design in the highway reconstruction and expansion project. On the basis of mastering the identification methods of carbon emission sources in expressway reconstruction and expansion projects,and starting from the application necessity of green highway design in the highway reconstruction and expansion project,it emphasizes specific green highway design points such as the reasonable planning of route and layout,the application of green materials and energy saving technology,the enhancement of ecological protection and restoration,and the introduction of intelligent and information management,which help to change the highway reconstruction and expansion design mode,control energy consumption and carbon emissions,and maintain the highway more safe and reliable.
