Abstract
This study presents an overview of design principles,innovative technologies,and anticipated outcomes for near-zero carbon urban tunnels. It introduces a comprehensive multi-dimensional integrated design strategy incorporating advanced technologies,including light guidance systems,photovoltaic substations,optical storage with flexible DC distribution,digital twin technology,robotic inspection systems,Artificial Intelligence (AI),and Internet of Things (IoT),aimed at achieving near-zero carbon emissions in tunnel operations. The research examines the implementation of these technologies and provides quantitative assessments of overall energy consumption and carbon emissions through detailed modeling and analysis.
