Study on the vascular plants flora under pulp-paper forest in Hainan
The floristic compositions, characteristics, rare and endangered plants in the pulp-paper Forest in Hainan were studied on the basis of field investigation, literatures checked and specimens collected. The main results are as follows. There are 538 vascular plant species, belonging to 359 genera in 122 families, recorded in pulp-paper forest in Hainan. Among them, 85 species and 4 varieties of pteridophytes, 2 species of gymnosperms, 439 species of angiosperms belong to 44 genera in 26 families, 2 genera in 2 families and 313 genera in 94 families, respectively. The tropical and subtropical distribution elements, especially these tropical Asia ones, are dominant in pulp-paper forest in Hainan. The tropical and subtropical distribution general of seed plants cover 42% of the total seed plants. However, there are still a few temperate distribution elements.
