Microelements distribution and biological cycling of Liquidambarformosana plantation in suburban area of Changsha
The concentration, accumulation, spatial distribution and bioloigcal cycling of 7 microelements(Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn, Pb, Ni and Cd) in Liquidambar formosana plantation were studied. The results show that concentration of Mn was the highest among 7 microelements and Cd was the lowest. Microelements concentration under-storey vegetation were higher than the tree layer. Microelements of Fe, that Mn had a higher concentration may be influenced by decomposition in the litter floor. No obvious changing trends were detected of the microelements concentration in different layer of soil The total accumulation of microelements in the plantation were 22 971.515 kg-hm'2,7 elements in the tree layer was 81.426 kg-hm"2 while under-storey and litter layer accumulation of both microelements were 10.147 kg-hm'2. The microelements accumulations percent of tree were 0.35%, under-storey and 0.05% in litter layer, respectively. Microelements annual net accumulations in Liquidambar formosana plantation were 6.097 kghm'V, with the largest accumulation of Mn. The amount of absorption, return and retention of microelements in the plantation were 13.123,9.849,3.276 kghm'V, respectively. The microelements utilization coefficient, circulation coefficient and turnaround period were 0.788, 0.202 and 6.792, respectively, and the cycling speed ranked as follows: Cd>Ni>Pb>Zn>Mn>Fe>Cu.
