Correlation analysis of SPAD value and chlorophyll content in leaves of Camellia oleifera
In order to study the relationship between SPAD value and chlorophyll content in leaves of Camellia oleifera, the SPAD value and chlorophyll content in leaves of C. oleifera were measured by using chlorophyll meter SPAD-502 and spectrophotometry. The results show that the relationships between SPAD value and chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and total chlorophyll content in leaves of C. oleifera were all very significant. The three regression equations between SPAD value and chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and total chlorophyll content were obtained. Through the statistic tests of the measured values and predictive values of 15 species leaves SPAD value, it was found that there were no significant differences between measured values and predictive values, so the regression equations could be used to forecast chlorophyll content of C. oleifera by SPAD value.
