Regulating role and inlfuences of water characteristics of triploid clones Populus tomentosa on leaf transpiration
To clarify the characteristics and relationships of leaf absoluteness water content (RAWC), relative water content (RRWC), water potential (ψ) and water capacitance(C) and its impacts on transpiration rate(Tr) of Triploid clones Populus tomentosa, the dynamic observations of 2 consecutive years on Tr , RAWC, RRWC,ψ, and C were carried out by using Licor-6400 portable photosynthesis system, oven drying method, portable pressure chamber, and so on. The results show that the diurnal variations of Triploid clones P. tomentosa Tr was a single-peaked curve, but a“V-shape”curve for RAWC, RRWC,ψ, and C;there was a correlation between Tr and RAWC, RRWC,ψ, C, but the correlation coefifcients was different at different time;there exists iffferent lag effects between Tr and RAWC, RRWC,ψ, C, which regulated and affected the tree transpiration together with the environmental factors.
