Study on Visual Simulation Technique of Stand Structure Based on Weibull Distribution
Stand structure is the theoretical basis of stand growth and management, and has significant practical and scientific values. The plot of Chinese fir plantation with the size of 30 m × 30 m was taken as an example. The diameter distribution of stand was fitted by Weibull distribution, and the resuh was analyzed by using chi - squared test. The stand arithmetic average DBH and the tree number of the stand were determined, and then the Chinese fir stand structure was intuitively simulated by using the Weibull distribution model, the relation- ship models of the forest inventory factors, the biomass estimation model, the GDI + technique and the MOGRE technique based on the C# programming language. The results were shown by the statistical charts, 2D and 3D views. The results showed that the diameter distribution of stand could be effectively fitted by the Weibull dis- tribution model, and stand structure could be expressed in a more intuitive and more effective way by using the visual simulation technique. It not only can provide the study of stand structure with a new technical measure, but also can offer a straightforward and efficient decision-making platform for enhancing the level of forest man- agement.
