Extracting Individual Tree Crown Width from UAV Remote Sensing Images
With the continuous development and progress of remote sensing technology, unmanned aerial vehi-cle(UAV)remote sensing images have been successfully applied to forest resources monitoring. However, the extraction accuracy of individual tree crown width can not satisfy the requirements of the practical applications. It is of great significance to improve the extraction accuracy of individual tree crown width from UAV images in forest resource surveys. We used the object-oriented image analysis method to study the individual tree segmen-tation and crown extraction based on UAV remote sensing images, which were collected at Wangyedian Forest Farm,Kalaqin Banner,Chifeng City,Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in 2019.The final position accuracy of single tree crown segmentation was 80.28%,and the area accuracy was 79.51%,which met the basic needs of forestry investigation.
