Effects of water control methods on the florescence and physiological properties of two Bougainvillea glabra
Potted seedings of Bougainvillea buttiana'Miss Manila'and B.glabra'Sao Paulo'which has been planted 1.5 years were used as test materials, interval water control and continuous water control were used, effects of different water control methods on flowering and plant endogenous hormones of two B.glabra were studied,in order to provide technical reference for regulating the flowering period. The results showed that interval water control resulted in the increase of GA3 and ABA,the decrease of IAA,the formation of a smaller ABA/GA3 peak and a larger ABA/IAA peak, the increase of soluble sugar content, and the promotion of plant flowering and the number of flower formation of B.buttiana'Miss Manila'Interval water control could promote the increase of GA3,IAA,and ABA,and form a larger ABA/GA3 peak and a smaller ABA/IAA peak, and increase the soluble sugar content, thus promoting flowering and prolonging the flowering period of B.glabra'Sao Paulo'.The results showed that the method of interval water control should be used to regulate flowering period of the two species of B.glabra, which was more effective.
