论粤西士人的八股文论思想

摘要
八股文是科举考试时规定使用的文体.因其写作内容限定四书、五经,以僵式化的八股作文,故迭遭批评.但粤西士人对八股文的态度却比较宽容,甚至予以赞扬.他们对八股文的写作,提出了许多切实可行之法.粤西学者还从八股文来考见写作者的人品,认为人品高者,其人之道德品质亦能自立.
Abstract
The Eight-Part Essay was the style prescribed for imperial examinations.Because of its writing content being limited to The Four Books and The Five Classics and written in reined form,it had often been criti-cized.However,the attitude of ancient Guangxi scholars towards The Eight-Part Essay was more tolerant,even praising.They put forward many effective methods to guide the writing of The Eight-Part Essay.They also under-stood the moral character of the author from the eight-part essay.They believed that if the author could write a good article,then the author was also a person of high morals.
