Interpretation and Translation of Nature Poetry from the Perspective of Cognitive Poetics:Dickinson's A Bird came down the Walk as an example
The common problem in poetry translation is poetry or literariness loss. From the perspective of cognitive poetics, according to the text world theory and mental space mapping theory of cognitive poetics, the paper analyzes Dickinson's nature poetry"A Bird came down the Walk"to interpret the theme of the poem. The paper discusses its poetic from perspective of the rhythm and rhyme, enjambment and punctuation, and how Dick-inson expresses her ecological philosophy and ecological ethical consciousness in poetic language. Based on the analysis, the paper attempts to render it into a corresponding ecological poem in Chinese, alike both in form and meaning, retaining the literariness of the original poem in the translated text.
