This paper expounds the value implication and major progress of science popularization of the modern science and technology museum system in the new era,and extracts its main characteristics as"three nature and three transformation",which are political,leading,inclusive,socialization,specialization and internationalization.It also applies the worldview and methodology of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,and takes guidance from General Secretary Xi Jinping's important statement of on scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement.Based on a comprehensive summary of the practical achievemeats of science popularization in the modern science and technology museum system,this paper examines the existing challenges and deficiencies in accordance with the requirements of the new era,and proffers several recommendations for the development of the modern science and technology museum system in the new era.
