摘要
北疆博物院是天津自然博物馆的前身,由法国博物学家、昆虫学家、地质古生物学家、天主教耶稣会神甫桑志华于 1914 年在天津创建.在华 25 年间,桑志华不仅留存下 20多万件自然标本,还留存有 18 世纪中晚期至 20 世纪早期的珍贵藏书 1.4 万余册.这些百年藏书以自然科学和汉学为主,时间跨度大,来源广泛,存世量稀少,装帧精美,具有重要的科研价值、历史价值和收藏价值.
Abstract
The Musée Hoangho Paiho is the predecessor of the Tianjin Natural History Museum,which was founded in Tianjin in 1914 by French naturalist,entomologist,geological paleontologist and Catholic Jesuit priest Emile licent.During his 25 years in China.Emile licent not only preserved more than 200,000 natural specimens,but also more than 14,000 valuable books from the mid-late 18th century to the early 20th century.These centennial book collections are mainly focused on natural sciences and sinology,with a long time span,diverse sources,rare surviving quantities,exquisite bindings,which are of great value for scientific research,history and collecting.
