A Philosophical Reflection on the Core Controversies and Intrinsic Limitations of AI Knowledge Production
There are two controversial issues in AI knowledge production.Firstly,transformative issues:does AI transformed human knowledge produc-tion?In what way and to what extent does AI change artificial knowledge production?Secondly,Relational issues:How to understand the relationship be-tween AI knowledge production and human knowledge production?To answer these representative questions,we must examine the roles of scientists in AI knowledge production,which include:(1)Raising and defining problems;(2)Providing scientific theories and scientific experience;(3)Completing di-vision of labor,communication and cooperation.Scientists are deeply embedded in AI knowledge production,which shows human-computer cooperation is the best way for AI knowledge production.We can further respond to transformative and relational issues by studying the roles of scientists and the limi-tations of AI knowledge production.
