The Contemporary Value of Culture of Science:Based on an Analysis of International Science Council
Truth and goodness are the value of Culture of Science from its birth.It has two dimensions of characteristics:ideal and reality.However,due to the strong impact of political and other factors,Culture of Science has not been fully realized in the process of modernization of human civilization,mak-ing the ideal form of Culture of Science to fall into darkness at certain times.Nowadays,ISC and its member organizations have sparked social discus-sions,which reflects the prevailing populism,anti-globalization,and anti-rationality.This article interprets the contemporary controversies of ISC from the perspective of Culture of Science,and through comparative analysis of the different development stages of ISC,it is found that the international scien-tific community should be firmly united with the ideal dimension of science and culture,which is the only way to resolve contradictions and build a human community with a shared future,and finally making Culture of Science a bridge that benefits all humanity and leads to world peace and development.
