With the increasingly prominent global ecological problems, interpreting Marx's concept of Metabolism has become the central task of contem-porary ecological Marxists in standing up for Marx's ecological thought.Kohei Saito identified that the concept couldn't be trace back to Moleschott or Liebig, but Daniels. From the perspective of Theory of Value Form,he analyzed the three-dimensionality of the metabolism and its rift.Furthermore,he criticized the injustice of the scheme of the green capitalist's shift, and then proposed to address the climate crisis by constructing"degrowth commu-nism".Although Kohei Saito's attempt to bridge the metabolic rift faced many theoretical and practical difficulties,it opened up a new path for ecological interpretation of Marxist Political Economy.
