Memory is an important perspective for examining the issue of identity.From the pre-digital era to the digital era,the mechanism of memory has been externalised with the evolution of technology,and the identity of the subject is in a state of transmutation.Digital technology has re-engineered memo-ry,de-forgotten,hyper-realised and re-mystified memory represented by numbers,and widened the narrative tension between digital memory and brain memory.Digital memory is the logical starting point of digital identity,and the alteration of digital memory puts digital identity in a difficult situation,which is highlighted by the stagnation and rigidity of the identity of the other,the loss and sinking of self-identity,and the frustration and obstruction of seeking identity,which together weaken the strength and confidence of the subject to identify with his/her identity.In order to deal with the dilemma of identity,it is necessary to return to the field of memory,set ourselves in the perspective of memory ethics,re-select the content of digital memory,rebuild the critical dimension of hyper-reality,and clarify the ownership of memory data,so as to effectively promote the historical issue of digital identity.
