From Conceptual Engineering to Distributed Responsibility:Possible Path to Bridge the Responsibility Gap
The use of robots raises the problem of moral responsibility distribution, and blaming the faults caused by robots only on humans or robots will lead to the responsibility gap.According to the theory of conceptual engineering, the connotation of the concept of responsibility should be changed from"control"to"cooperation".In the latter concept of responsibility, distributed responsibility should be adopted to allocate responsibility to designers, manufacturers, users and robots in the responsibility network, and robots as quasi-moral agent should also be held accountable in a reasonable way to bridge the responsibility gap.
