An Analysis of the Incompatibility between Einstein's"Length Contraction Effect"and the Four-Dimensional Spacetime Theory
On one hand, the academic community both domestically and internationally has been engaged in a prolonged discussion regarding Einstein's"length contraction effect"and the"length contraction paradox".On the other hand,Wen Xingwu,in an article published in 1990 in Social Sciences in China, pointed out the inconsistency tn the views of Chinese Academy of Sciences academician He Zuoxiu regarding the"length contraction effect"and the four-dimensional spacetime theory, thereby raising the issue of their incompatibility. He further concluded that Einstein's"length contraction effect"is not a scientific content of special relativity. As we reach the 120th anniversary of the establishment of special relativity by Einstein,a compre-hensive and in-depth analysis of the incompatibility between Einstein's"length contraction effect"and the four-dimensional spacetime theory, along with a clarification of the relevant theoretical disputes,is of significant importance for the development of both science and philosophy.
