Research on the Spatial Distribution Characteristics and Influencing Factors of Provincial Popular Science Education Bases:A Case Study of Hubei Province
Taking the 352 popular science education bases announced by the Hubei Provincial Association for Science and Technology as the research object,this study analyzes the spatial distribution characteristics and main influencing factors of popular science education centers using methods such as nearest neighbor index,imbalance index,kernel density analysis,and geographic detectors.The results indicate that the spatial distribution of popular science edu-cation bases is uneven,showing the characteristics of agglomeration distribution pattern,and the spatial density and regional differentiation are significant.In the structure of types of popular science education bases,educational research and major engineering popular science education bases have the highest propor-tion,while"agriculture,rural areas and farmers"popular science education bases have the lowest proportion.The spatial distribution of popular science ed-ucation bases is comprehensively influenced by factors such as economic foundation,social foundation,resource endowment,level of educational develop-ment,and innovation vitality.On this basis,this article proposes countermeasures to optimize the spatial layout of popular science education bases,inclu-ding strengthening policy guidance and support to promote regional balanced development;formulating a scientific development plan and optimize the spatial layout of the base;establishing distinctive popular science education bases and enhance the diversity of base types;promoting the construction of cluster alli-ances and strengthen the integration and sharing of resources;strengthening supervision and evaluation and establish a long-term management mechanism.
