Effects of Wall Thickness Distribution on Overturning Eccentricity Behavior of Metal Diaphragm
In order to ensure the orderly overturning of metal diaphragm, and realize the regular change of tank and the balanced discharge of propellant, the effects of wall thickness distribution on overturning eccentricity of metal diaphragm was analyzed. The results showed that for the diaphragm with equal wall thickness, conical shell and spherical crown had a certain ability to correct eccen-tricity,transitional spherical shell did not have a certain ability to correct eccentricity. The conical shell variable wall thickness schemes can promote the smaller axial component force Py of the devia-tion section to achieve the overturning starting pressure Pr in advance by increasing the pressure difference ΔPr with smaller wall thickness gradient and lower weight cost, thereby improving the cor-rect eccentricity and realize the overturning without eccentricity.
