Diagnostic value of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, white blood cell count,neutrophil-to-lympho-cyte ratio in the detection of perianal abscess
Objective:To investigate the expression and diagnostic predictive value of high-sensitivity C-reac-tive protein(hs-CRP),white blood cell(WBC)count, and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)in perianal ab-scess.Methods:A total of 146 patients with perianal abscess were included as the case group, while 130 healthy individuals undergoing physical examination during the same period were selected as the control group. The changes in blood routine indicators of the two groups of subjects were examined.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to evaluate the efficacy of hs-CRP,WBC,and NLR in predicting the se-verity of perianal abscess. Results:The occurrence of high perianal abscess is positively correlated with hs-CRP,WBC,NEUT,CRP and NLR(P<0.05);the levels of these indicators are higher than those in the control group and patients with low perianal abscess, and the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)values for the diagnosis of high and low perianal abscesses using hs-CRP,CRP,WBC,NLR,CRP+WBC+NLR,and hs-CRP+WBC+NLR are 0.680,0.679,0.619,0.648,0.673,and 0.679 respectively(P<0.05).Conclusion:The level of hs-CRP has the higher predictive value for the diagnosis and severity assess-ment of perianal abscesses. The use of this indicator can facilitate a simple and rapid diagnosis in the early stage of perianal abscesses and is worthy of clinical promotion.
