Climate characteristics of thunderstorm in Ningxia
Using the observational data of thunderstorm from 20 stations in Ningxia during 1961 to 2006,the climate characteristics of the thunderstorm in the past 46 years were studied by means of mathematical statistics and the analysis of sliding-t detection and wavelets.The results showed that the thunderstorm disaster displays a considerable difference in various places in Ningxia,and the number of thunderstorm days has a decreasing trend,the numerical value of decreasing days was 23 per decade.From May to September is the most frequent period of the thunderstorm and the thunderstorm frequendy occurs in the time period from 12:00 to 20:00.The abrupt change of the thunderstorm occurred in 1983 or so,in the recent 46 years the thunderstorm has had an oscillation period about 2 ～ 4a and the period is 15a after 1984.
