Development characteristics and disaster modes of typical geological disasters on Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi:A case study of Yuyang District of Yulin City
The ecological environment of the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi Province is fragile, and geological disasters such as landslides occur frequently in the area. With the influence of frequent extreme rainfall and intense human engineering activities, the development characteristics and types of geological disasters in the area have undergone new changes.Taking Yuyang District of Yulin City as an example, the geological hazards were investigated and analyzed in detail on the basis of fully combining the existing data. The results show that the geological disasters in the area mainly include landslide, collapse and ground collapse, and the loess collapse-mud flow disaster chain and mining type cave-slip disaster chain are developed.Landslide can be divided into loess landslide,loess-red beds landslide,loess-bedrock landslide and rock landslide. The induced factors of loess landslide include rainfall, excavation and river side erosion. The landslide disaster pattern is different under different induced factors. The collapse in the area includes loess collapse and rock collapse. The loess collapse disaster modes include sliding type and toppling type, and the rock collapse disaster mode is caving type. The ground collapse caused by coal mining results in the formation of ground crack, collapse steep, collapse trough and collapse pit. Finally, the formation mechanism of loess collapse-mudflow disaster chain and mining type cave-slip disaster chain is analyzed. The research and analysis can provide some references for the planning of geological disaster prevention in the Loess Plateau region and the security and long-term service of major projects.
