The adaptability of"water-energy-food"system and urban green transformation in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Zone
Evaluating the adaptability of the resource system to the green development of the city is the key to judging the health of the city.By constructing the evaluation system of"sys-tem pressure index, the distance between good and bad solutions(TOPSIS)and decoupling elasticity model(Tapio)",we quantitatively calculate and analyze the decoupling degree(S)be-tween the pressure of WEF system and the quality of green transformation of cities in the mid-dle reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Zone from 2012 to 2021,and determine the appro-priateness of its resource system and green transformation. The decoupling degree(S)of the"water-energy-food"system(WEF)pressure and the quality of urban green transformation in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Zone from 2012 to 2021 is quantitatively calculated and analyzed as a driving force, and the appropriateness of the resource system and green transformation is judged. The study finds that:(1)The WEF system pressure in the mid-dle reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Zone fluctuates greatly.(2)The quality of green transition in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Zone shows a significant linear upward trend from 2012 to 2021.(3)The WEF system pressure and the quality of green trans-formation in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Zone have not yet formed a suitable relationship,Hubei province has reached a preliminary decoupling state, and the health degree of green development of the three provinces is as follows:Hubei>Hunan>Jiangxi. Therefore,Hubei should play a leading role in radiation,so as to build a green industry and en-ergy chain, strengthen green technology innovation, and give full play to the comparative ad-vantages of each province.
