Impact of agricultural socialized services and cultivated land fragmentation on farmland abandonment
The abandonment of farmland has an important impact on food security strategy and the supply of agricultural products. This paper constructs a theoretical framework of"people-farmland-services",and analyzes the impacts of agricultural socialization services and cultivat-ed land fragmentation on the abandonment behavior of farm households'farmland.Research shows that agricultural social services can effectively alleviate the potential problem of farm-land abandonment and reduce the degree of cultivated land abandonment, and the capital-inten-sive mid-production services have the greatest inhibitory effect. The fine fragmentation of farm-land is not conducive to farming on a large scale, and even drives farmers to idle farmland re-sources,which inhibits the effectiveness of agricultural social services on the farmland aban-donment management. Therefore,it is especially important to increase the publicity of agricul-tural socialized services and try to implement the"wasteland as shares"model to revitalize abandoned farmland. We should transform the management of cultivated land fragmentation ac-cording to local conditions, enhance the viability of agricultural socialized services for cultivat-ed land fragmentation, exert comparative advantages of each service, actively explore the mech-anism of new professional farmers and realize effective docking between new farmers and mod-ern agricultural service platforms, which will help curb the growth of farmland abandonment and promote the development of modem agriculture.
