The School of Strategists once flourished during the Warring States period,although it declined after the Qin and Han dynasties,it had a profound impact on Chinese literature in later generations.In early modern times,the learning of strategists has once again attracted attention and regained vitality under the vigorous advocacy of Zhang Taiyan章太炎,Liu Shipei刘师培 and other scholars of the quintessential classics,as a result the literature of strategists has also gained momentum.Modern writers such as Lu Xun鲁迅,Qian Zhongshu钱锺书 and Zhu Ziqing朱自清 have drawn on the art of strategists and successfully applied it to essays,novels,proses and other genres.The intellectual legacy of the School of Strategists has been deeply absorbed by Chinese literature and remains to be influential for a long time.
