Experimental study on the carbonization matrix to promote the anaerobic fermentation of coffee derresidue
The utilization of biogas production by anaerobic fermentation of waste coffee skin residue is one of the important ways to solve the environmental pollution, and improving the efficiency of gas production is an important measure to improve the performance of anaerobic fermentation system.Batch sequential anaerobic fermentation at medium temperature(35±2)℃ and TS concentration was 10%,and the hydraulic retention time was 30 d to investigate the influence of alkali amount and activation time in the activation process of activated carbon on the anaerobic fermentation performance of coffee peel. The experiment found that the activated carbon can improve the anaerobic fermentation efficiency of coffee peel, and the activated carbon(C5 group with the alkali amount of 4∶1)improved the anaerobic fermentation performance of coffee peel. The maximum daily gas value of C5 group was 715 mL,total gas production was 8 107.5 mL,and cumulative methane production was 2 674.47 mL,up 17.21%,9.89%and 26.66%higher than CK group. In addition, activated carbon could effectively improve the degradation rate of coffee peel residue.TS degradation rate and VS in C5 group were 83.93%and 69.78%respectively,up 6.29%and 4.79%higher than CK group.
