A Study of Zhou Ying's Patriotic Ideas and Practices——Attached The Inaugural Issue of Ken Huang
Zhou Ying is a modern Zhaotong intellectual,who witnessed the repeated invasions of China's poverty and weakness,gradually developed anti-imperialist and anti-invasion patriotic ideas,and repeatedly published articles exposing the facts of Japan and Britain's invasion of China.In order to awaken the public to unite against the invasion,he put forward the idea of"National union"against the invasion.He combined patriotic thoughts with songs and created"Patriotic new folk song"to publicize anti-imperialism and anti-invasion.He actively organized and participated in the modern anti-imperialist and anti-invasion patriotic movement in Zhaotong.In order to revitalize and promote Zhaotong culture and resist the imperialist cultural invasion,he organized the establishment of Zhaotong Reclamation Literature and Art Society,served as the chief editor,and founded the Ken Huang magazine.This article systematically studies Zhou Ying's patriotism thought and practice,and comments on the first issue of Ken Huang magazine.
