The Co-Occurrence Law of the Language Policies of the Five Permanent Countries of the United Nations and Its Analysis of the Ecology of Language
The language policies of the five permanent countries of the United Nations show remarkable commonalities. They all go through the tolerant language policy stage of the free development of multilanguages, the mandatory language policy stage of national language unification, and the common development stage of multilanguages dominated by lingua franca. This paper analyzes the co-occurrence law of the language policies of the five permanent countries of the United Nations by means of niche theory, competition exclusion law and tolerance law in ecology, and finds that the formation of language niche can be completed in two ways:free competition and policy guidance. With the establishment of a multi-ethnic and multi-lingual unified country, the need for national language unification is increasing, and policy guidance is particularly prominent.Governments need to correctly guide the competition of linguistic niche, actively promote multilingual education, and promote the harmonious development of multilanguages.
