Rationality is an important theme of modernity.The modernity construction in Chinese children's literature should should pay attention to the rational qualities of the text while emphasizing imagination and play.This article focuses on the rationality issues within the modernization process of Chinese children's literature,examining the rationality of daily life in the themes and plots of Zheng Yuanjie's fairy tales,the participatorydialogue rationality in narrative structures,and the philosophical speculation rationality in narrative language,to elucidate and analyze its prominent rational characteristics.This discussion also points out that valuing the rational aspects of children's literature and its function in rational education for children is a significant component in constructing the modernity of Chinese children's literature.
