Study on the Forms and Decorative Art of Waist Ornaments in Qing Dynasty
"Clothes have belts",waist ornaments are a representative part of China's traditional costume accessories.The feudal ruling class in Qing Dynasty was strictly graded,wearing different styles of waist ornaments according to the status of different characters and situational occasions is a sign symbolizing the distinction between regularized rank and authority.This article provides an in-depth study of the literature,supplemented by specific images,sorting out the historical evolution and development process of waist ornaments in Qing Dynasty.Based on the decorative arts of form,function,color and decoration of Qing dynasty palace men's waist ornaments,it explores the aesthetic characteristics and cultural connotations of Qing dynasty palace men's waist ornaments.Research shows that the shape and color of the waist ornaments of Qing Dynasty are one of the main manifestations of Qing Dynasty palace court dress system,with strong allegorical symbols.
