Effects of Photo and Nitrogen on Yield,Yield Composition,Dry Matter Accumulation and Distribution of Hybrid Rice
In order to increase the rice yield in the karst moutainous area of Southwest China, the effects of light, nitrogen and their interactions on dry matter accumulation, transport and yield formation of hybrid rice were studied by using the split-plot experimental design, and the main factors of shading after flowering(natural light and shading 40%),and nitro-gen fertilizer as the secondary factors(90,180 and 270 kg/hm2)were used to study the effects of light, nitrogen and their interactions on the accumulation, transport and yield formation of hybrid rice. The results showed that at the same level of nitrogen fertilizer,post-anthesis shading 40%could significantly increase dry matter transport volume, transport rate and contribution rate, but also significantly reduce post-anthesis dry matter mass, total dry matter mass, harvest index and seed setting rate. Finally, the actual yield of rice was significantly reduced by 27.0%and 31.3%.Under the same light condi-tion,the application of nitrogen fertilizer could significantly increase the number of effective panicles, total spike lets per u-nit area, dry matter accumulation and transport, harvest index and yield.Under the condition of low light, the application of nitrogen fertilizer could increase the amount of dry matter transfer, transport rate, contribution rate and total spikelet num-ber,and the total dry matter quality, harvest index and seed setting rate increased with the increase of nitrogen application rate, thus reducing the yield loss caused by low light after an thesis. Therefore,in the southwest low light area, properly in-creasing the application of nitrogen fertilizer and expanding the population and dry matter accumulation in the early stage can effectively compensate the yield loss caused by weak light in the later stage.
