Comparison of Tuber Yield and Quality of Different Potato Varieties in Loess Hilly Region of Central Gansu
In order to evaluate the comprehensive quality characters of different potato varieties, field experiments were ca-rried out in the loess hilly region of central Gansu with 5 mid-maturing and 7 late-maturing potato varieties as experimen-tal materials. The yield, nutritional quality and mineral elements of tuber were measured and compared, and the tuber yield, nutritional quality and mineral elements were determined and compared, and the tuber was comprehensively evaluated by membership function method and systematic cluster analysis. The results showed that among the middle maturity varieties,Jingzhangshu No.1 had the highest yield(14 180 kg/hm2),which was significantly higher than Longshu No.20,while a-mong the late maturity varieties,Qingshu No.9 had the highest yield(20 170 kg/hm2),followed by Longshu No.10(18 703 kg/hm2),which was significantly higher than the other five varieties.Among the mid-maturing varieties,Jing-zhangshu No.1 had the highest starch content, vitamin C content and crude protein content and rich mineral elements(K,Zn),while Xisen No.6 had the lowest reducing sugar content.Among the late-maturing varieties,Longshu No.10 had the highest starch content, vitamin C content and crude protein content,Longshu No.14 had the lowest reducing sugar content, and Qingshu No.9 and Longshu No.10 were rich in mineral elements(K,Zn).According to the results of comprehensive evaluation, the comprehensive quality of medium-maturing variety Jingzhangshu No.1 and late-maturing variety Longshu No.10 was better,so it was suggested to popularize and plant in the dry farming area of central Gansu.
