Analysis of Hormone Content in Naturally Early Deciduous Mutant Line of Upland Cotton
In order to study the characteristics of hormone content expression of naturally early defoliation traits in upland cotton,a naturally early deciduous mutant line Defoliation cotton 501 was used as experimental material, and the near-iso-genic line N065 and upland cotton line N002 with long leaf function stage were used as control 1 and control 2,respective-ly.The contents of ABA,GA3,ZR and IAA in different tissues were determined by Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent As-say.In terms of seed embryo hormone content, the ABA content of deciduous cotton 501 was significantly higher than that of controls, only 70.7%and 60.4%of control 1 and control 2,respectively,and its GA3 content was significantly lower than that of control 1 and control 2,which was only 21.4%and 23.6%of that of control 1 and control 2,respectively.Its ZR content was also significantly lower than that of control 1 and control 2,respectively,but there was no significant difference in IAA content between control 1 and control 2.In terms of leaf hormone content, the ABA content of deciduous cotton 501 was significantly higher than controls, that was 2.65 and 5.63 times of control 1 and control 2,respectively,while its GA3 content was significantly lower than that of control 1 and control 2,21.8%and 31.8%of that of control 1 and control 2,re-spectively.There was no significant difference in ZR content between the control and the control, while the IAA content was significantly lower than that of controls only 21.7%and 31.6%control 1 and control 2,respectively.Comprehensive analy-sis showed that the early defoliation character of upland cotton was significantly related to the content of ABA and GA3 in seed embryo and leaf.According to the content of ABA and GA3 in apical true leaf or seed embryo of upland cotton, the early defoliation characteristic of upland cotton could be predicted.
