Breeding of A High Quality and Anti Lodging Rapeseed New Variety Shengxiangyou 88
The Hunan Provincial Cotton Science Research Institute used the male sterile line S899FA of Brassica napus as the female parent and the restoring line n386 as the male parent to develop a high-quality and lodging resistant new rape-seed variety,Shengxiangyou 88.This variety participated in the multi-point adaptability experiment of Brassica napus in Hunan Province from 2018 to 2020.In the 10-point test in 2 years,the yield of the variety increased at 9 points(times),with an average yield of 2 663.1 kg/hm2,an increase of 4.3%compared to the control variety Fengyou 520.The seed con-tains 0.02%erucic acid,18.62 μmol/g glucosinolate,and 43.37%oil.Shengxiangyou 88 was registered as a non-major crop variety in 2022 and is suitable for autumn planting in the main production area of winter rapeseed in Hunan.This arti-cle introduces the breeding process,yield,and agronomic traits of Shengxiangyou 88.
