Experimental study on influence of moisture content and pore structure on thermal conductivity of porous building ceramic tiles
As multiphase composite material, thermal conductivity of porous building ceramic tiles is influenced by multiple factors such as temperature, humidity and porosity. The variation law of thermal conductivity of po-rous building ceramic tiles is studied through experiments under different pore structures, porosity, and mois-ture content conditions. The results indicate that building ceramics prepared with starch and carbon powder as pore forming agents are mainly characterized by open pores with strong connectivity. The pore size formed by starch is relatively uniform with the higher apparent porosity. With the dosage increase of pore forming agent, the apparent porosity and water absorption increase linearly with uneven pore size distribution. There is a clear coupling effect between the various influencing factors of the thermal conductivity of porous building ceramic tiles, that is,the higher the moisture content, the more significant the impact of temperature changes on their thermal conductivity. The higher the apparent porosity, the more sensitive the thermal conductivity changes with water content.
