Effect of pulp fiber on the physical properties of molded wall decoration materials
A series of tests are designed and implemented to evaluate the effects of different amounts(0%,5%,10%)of pulp fibers on the density, compressive strength and water absorption of molding materials. It is found that with the increase of pulp fiber content, the density of the molding material decreased significantly, from 1.798g/cm3 to 1.708g/cm3.The compressive strength increased significantly, from 50.04 MPa to 54.72 MPa,and the water absorption increased significantly, from 1.22%to 1.78%.Therefore,the incorporation of pulp fi-bers has a significant impact on the physical properties of the molding material, which can be adjusted accord-ingly to the specific needs of the material application.
