Species identification of the root-knot nematode on southern herbs in Hainan Province
The root-knot nematodes collected from southern herbs of nine cities in Hainan Province were identified by using morphological characteristics,isoenzyme technology and mtDNA-PCR method.Meloidogyne incognita , M.javanica ,M.arenaria ,M.hispanica and M.enterolobii were found on southern herbs.These identified five root knot nematodes could parasitize on Morinda officinalis and cause serious economic loss,while M.incognita was the predominant species and could be found on most investigated herbs.
