Mangifera indica L.is one of the well-known fruits in China.Bacterial diseases have been occurring seriously in recent years.A bacterial necrotic disease mixed with bacterial black spot disease on mango was observed, with an incidence rate of 30%-60%,even up to 90%,in our investigation of mango diseases in Baise,Guangxi from 2020 to 2021.Twenty-one isolates belonging to the genus Pantoea were successively isolated from the mango necrotic tissues in investigation region in this study. The isolates were identified as four species:Pantoea vagans,P.anthophila,P.dispersa and P.cypripedii based on the morphological,physio-biochemical characteristics,16S rDNA sequence, phylogenetic analysis of fusA-gyrB-leuS-pyrG-rlpB-rpoB concatenated sequences and pathogenicity test. This is the first report of necrotic disease caused by P.anthophila,P.dispersa and P.cypripedii in mango in China.
