Disease resistance identification of hulless barley germplasm accessions to leaf stripe
Stripe disease is one of the important seed-borne diseases in the production of hulless barley on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and it is often controlled by medicinal seed dressing. However, the cultivation and promotion of disease-resistant varieties is the most cost-effective measure to prevent and control the disease. In order to explore the excellent hulless barley germplasm resources resistant to stripe disease,231 hulless barley germplasm resources were evaluated against stripe disease by combining field identification and indoor identification with two strains.Twenty immune germplasms,18 highly resistant germplasms and 44 medium resistant germplasms were obtained, accounting for 8.7%,7.8%and 19.1%,respectively.The rest 149 hulless barley germplasms showed susceptibility to stripe disease, among which 36 germplasms were moderately susceptible and 113 were highly susceptible, accounting for 64.5%.
