Isolation, identification of endophytic bacteria from Aucklandia costus and its inhibitory effect on Verticillium dahliae
Forty-one strains of endophytic bacteria were isolated from the medicinal plant Aucklandia costus, and the 16S rRNA gene sequencing method was employed for their identification. The results showed that the endophytic bacteria belonged to six genera, with Pseudomonas and Rahnella being the predominant ones.Subsequently, these isolates were screened via confrontation culture, where 12 isolates exhibited inhibitory effects against Verticillium dahliae, among which two isolates were identified as Rahnella spp.,seven isolates as Pseudomonas spp.,and three as Serratia spp..In a greenhouse experiment evaluating the effectiveness of these 12 isolates against cotton Verticillium wilt, showing that the control effect of R1-6,R1-13,and S1-2 belonging to Pseudomonas exceeded 55%,indicating their potential utility in production.
