Co-toxicity of bifenazate and two acaricides against Panonychus citri(Acari:Tereanychidae)
Panonychus citri is a worldwide pest mite known for its resistance to various acaricides.Combining acaricides is an effective strategy to solve the resistance problem and extend the shelf life of acaricides. In this study, compound formulations comprising bifenazate, with abamectin,or fluazinam were screened to identify new compound products with clear synergistic effects. The co-toxicity and synergistic effect of these compound acaricides were determined using the leaf-spray method. The LC50 values were determined as 16.43 mg/L for bifenazate,0.29 mg/L for abamectin, and 12.63 mg/L for fluazinam.Co-toxicity coefficients of 135.02 and 158.40 were observed for bifenazate and abamectin at ratios of 19∶1 and 15∶5,respectively,indicating a synergistic effect. For bifenazate and fluazinam at ratios of 6∶4,7∶3,5∶5,9∶1,and 8∶2,co-toxicity coefficients of 466.28,410.61,370.22,311.15,and 275.85,were recorded, displaying significant synergistic effects.
